Origin Story
For as long as I can remember, my hands have known the feel of tools.
I grew up surrounded by the scent of sawdust and the sound of steel on steel — skills passed down through my grandfathers and father. They taught me how to swing a hammer before I could spell it, how to shape wood into something strong, and how to work metal until it took the form I imagined. Those early lessons weren’t just about craftsmanship; they were about connection, legacy, and pride in what you create.
In time, I learned how to blend wood and metal into something more — not just objects, but expressions of who I was.
Life then called me to the sea. I joined the Navy to see the world, to test myself, to live boldly. For eight years, I served. The experience taught me strength and resilience, but also the power of kindness. I saw beauty and hardship, light and shadow — and somewhere in that journey, I faced my own darkness.
But I didn’t stay there. I fought my way through. I found my anchor in love — my wife, my partner — and together we began building a business from the ground up.
I chose to return to the work of my roots — to wood, to the craft, to creating with my own hands. But now, it meant something deeper. I wasn’t just shaping art. I was shaping meaning. Every piece I create carries part of my story, and each one reminds me of the truth I discovered: I was my own light all along.
